How does LandLock protect your property?

1. Identity Verification

Safeguard your property with LandLock™ by creating a secure account and undergoing identity verification. To ensure the highest level of security, LandLock™ utilizes multiple methods of identity verification, including social security number verification, government-issued ID verification and biometrics.

3. Payment of Fees

2. Property Registration

After LandLock successfully verifies your identification, you will be required to register your personal information and real property information with LandLock™. This includes providing details such as the property address and ownership information.

To finalize the registration process, the following one-time fees must be paid per property, depending on the ownership type: $1,295 for properties owned by individuals and $1,495 for properties owned by entities. Payment plans are available for your convenience.

4. Generating the Warning Page

LandLock™ will generate your personal warning page upon completion of the registration process.  Your warning page MUST be recorded with the property’s deed so that the public is put on notice that your identity is registered with LandLock™. The recorded warning page will deter potential thieves and imposters from meddling with your real property.  The recorded warning page will make it difficult for thieves and imposters to fake or impersonate your identity.

5. Record the Warning Page

It’s easy to record your personal warning page with the property’s deed.  You can attach it to your deed prior to purchasing the property or, if you already own the property, you can record a new deed and attach the warning page to your new deed (additional fees to prepare and record a new deed will apply).

6. Obtain Certificate

If you sell, transfer, mortgage or lease your real property or if you wish to perform any other transaction relating to your real property, the prospective purchaser, transferee, lender, tenant, title insurer, title agent and all other interested parties should require that you verify your identity through LandLock™ (the recorded warning page will advise all interested parties to do so).  Only a LandLock™ user can verify his/her identity through LandLock™.  LandLock™ will generate a certificate only if a user successfully verifies his or her identity.  You can easily obtain this certificate through LandLock’s secure login portal by confirming your identity.

7. Secure Authentication Process

All prospective purchasers, transferred, lenders, tenant, title insurers, title agents and all other interested parties can authenticate the certificate by scanning the QR code using our LandLock Verification portal. Once the certificate has been verified, the transaction can proceed as normal, providing an added layer of security and peace of mind for all parties involved.
